This piece is meant to represent my home, Wipazoka Wakpa aka Sioux Valley, in all it’s strength and beauty. We have over 11 white Buffalo living on reserve, the animal itself is sacred to us Dakota people, White buffalo especially. It’s something we here in Sioux Valley take pride in. The herd itself is our strength, our sacred space, where we go to pray and heal.
The title is sort of an inside joke between me and my sister. We nicknamed our home “the valley of love” we still use the term to this day.
